送寒余雪尽，迎岁早梅新。年年岁岁，又是一年新春将至。为了让孩子们了解中国传统节日文化，感受到新年将至的欢乐氛围，迎接新年的到来，上海凯文教育园内的博华外国语幼儿园于2024年1月23日至1月31日开展了“寻年味，过大年”主题系列活动。

Send away the remaining snow and welcome the New Year with early plum blossoms. Year after year, another new year is coming. To let the children understand the traditional Chinese festival culture, feel the joyful atmosphere of the approaching New Year, and welcome the arrival of the New Year, Shanghai Bohua Foreign Language Kindergarten launched the “Looking for the Flavor of the New Year and Celebrating the New Year” from January 23 to January 31, 2024.

孩子们通过观看年味小短片，了解年的故事、新年传统习俗以及春节的来历。继而大家一起寻找幼儿园里的“年味”。

The children learned about the traditional customs of the Chinese New Year and the origin of the Spring Festival. They learned by watching short films about the New Year and listening to stories about the traditional Chinese New Year. Then, everyone worked together to find the “flavor of the New Year” in the kindergarten.

孩子们一起欣赏年画、画年画，了解新年特有的景象。

The children enjoyed and drew New Year pictures together and learned about the unique scenes of the New Year.

写福字、剪窗花、打鼓、舞龙等，幼儿园到处洋溢着新年的喜气。活动不仅让孩子们感受到了中国春节的民风民俗，同时培养了他们对中国民间游戏的探索兴趣。

Writing blessing characters, cutting window grilles, playing drums, dragon dancing, etc., the kindergarten was filled with New Year’s joy. The activity not only allowed the children to experience the folk customs of the Chinese Spring Festival but also cultivated their interest in exploring Chinese folk games.

新年至，民间游戏少不了，套福龙、夹福糖、赶年兽、蒙眼摸福……孩子们在欢乐有趣的传统游戏中感受春节的热闹。

The New Year is coming, and folk games are indispensable, such as making fortune dragons, holding fortune candies, chasing new year beasts, blindfolding, and touching blessings… Children can feel the excitement of the Spring Festival in joyful and interesting traditional games.

扫尘象征着“除旧迎新”，孩子们一起进行班级大扫除，扫地、擦桌子等，迎接新年的好运和新气象。

Sweeping dust symbolizes “removing the old and welcoming the new”. The children clean the class together, sweeping the floor, wiping the tables, etc., to welcome good luck and a new atmosphere in the New Year.

各班级开展了新年联欢会，大家一起载歌载舞，庆祝新年的到来。

Each class held a New Year’s party, where everyone sang and danced together to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.

幼儿园为孩子们准备了新年礼物——可可爱爱的抱枕龙，祝福孩子们新的一年生龙活虎、健康快乐成长。

The kindergarten prepared a New Year gift for the children – a cute pillow dragon, wishing the children a lively, healthy, and Happy New Year.

经历和体验各种年俗活动，是孩子走近、了解、喜爱和传承传统文化的美好契机，新的一年到来之际，博华幼儿园的孩子们亲手装点，让暖意浓浓的新年徐徐开始。冬意渐浓，岁序无声。人间烟火色，最是新年时。博华幼儿园愿孩子们幸福成长；祝家长们新的一年工作顺利，龙年大吉!

Experiencing various New Year activities is a wonderful opportunity for children to get closer, and to understand, love, and inherit traditional culture. When the New Year comes, the children of Bohua Kindergarten decorate it with their own hands, letting the warmth of the New Year slowly unfold and soon start. The feeling of winter is getting stronger, and the order of the years is silent. The world is full of fireworks, especially during the New Year. Bohua Kindergarten wishes the children happiness and growth; and wishes parents good luck in their work in the new year and good luck in the Year of the Dragon!
