初冬的北京,神秘而庄重。既有历史与现代文化的碰撞,又遍地可见自然与人文的交融,为同学们提供了绝佳的游学、研学环境。
近日,朝阳凯文国际课程中学部的同学们,分年级组前往北京的不同地点进行了学术研学,由学科组的老师们带领,将实地考察体验与课堂上的学科知识联系起来,度过了愉快并有意义的学习体验。
六年级 · 北京市气象监测中心
气象科普是一种通过实践研究 、观察和实验等方式学习气象学知识的活动。这种学习方式能够提供一种更加生动有趣和具有挑战性的学习体验,同时也能够为学生的科学素养、实践能力和未来职业发展奠定重要基础。
气象站的工作人员详细地介绍了气象学常识、气象观测仪器与设备,以及如何采集数据、分析气象状况,学生们边听边做笔记,对提出的问题,工作人员也是非常耐心地逐一解答。

“通过生动的讲解,我们认识了轻型百叶箱、雨量器、蒸发器、风向标、地下温度表等气象观测的仪器,知道了在室外观测温度、风向等操作方法。这次参观活动,让我们大开眼界,了解了书本以外的知识,知道了北京的气候类型及气象资源,懂得了一些实用的观测气象技能,激发了我对科学的兴趣。”

七年级 · 孔庙、国子监博物馆
为了更好地帮助学生清晰地了解我国古代的教育机制,七年级的学生们来到凝聚历史浓重文化色彩的孔庙和国子监博物馆。
“七年级学生在学过春秋战国时期‘百家争鸣’后,又学习了西汉时期董仲舒为什么提出了‘罢黜百家,独尊儒术’的思想,了解到了儒家思想的产生背景和如何演化为封建正统思想的过程。这次研学让学生们更深刻地理解到儒学在我国历史上的地位与作用,体会到了中华文明的源远流长与博大精深,接受了一次深刻的文化洗礼。”

同时‘匾额’也特别地引起了我的关注。匾额,是建筑的眼睛,中国独有的一种建筑形式,几个字蕴含着丰富的文化内涵,昭示着悠远的历史变迁。千百年来,儒学的思想对中国产生了深远的影响。

八年级 · 恭王府
在研学之前,八年级的中文课堂正好讲到“说明文与游记”单元,在中文课上学生们学习了说明方法、说明顺序、景物描写技巧等内容,恰恰与这次研学完美地结合,让同学们能更多的了解中华文化、体会中国古代园林建筑之美、在实践中运用说明文的知识对恭王府进行参观游览。
“为了让学生学以致用,将说明文单元学习到的方法和技巧应用到真实的生活场景中,做出高质量的语言文字输出,我改变传统的说明文写作方式,鼓励学生用有创意的、兼具趣味性和知识性的方式记录这次研学之旅。
学生们兴致很高,在出行前就认真了解恭王府、准备文案和方案,到了实地之后结合小组的任务内容和文案,一边实地感受课堂上了解到的有关恭王府的内容,一边有针对性地拍摄。整个过程,学生们都很投入。”

“在没有去恭王府之前,我一直以为那里就是一个普通有钱官员居住的房子。但是到了地方之后才发现原来恭王府里藏有那么多的知识。
在所有的建筑中,我最喜欢最感兴趣的是恭王府的大戏楼。在了解到里面的构造以及传音效果之后,我不禁感慨古代人民对于建筑的讲究。大戏楼墙壁上面的花纹都是藤萝枝叶的样子,使人们能够体会到在外面欣赏表演的感觉。”

九年级 · 北京古代建筑博物馆
九年级同学们走进了先农坛北京古代建筑博物馆。这次研学活动不仅让他们领略了古代建筑的宏伟壮丽,了解了明清两代皇家祭祀先农之神和亲耕的历史文化,更是在实践中发掘了几何知识的实际运用。
“通过勾勒建筑物的三种视图,学生们将学科知识与日常生活相结合,感受到了几何在实际中的应用。同时,他们积极探索将几何知识与其他学科融合,从古代建筑的几何结构中汲取灵感。
藻井、榫卯等独特几何结构引起了他们浓厚兴趣。尤其是先农坛古代建筑所呈现的对称之美,展示了其独特魅力和精致之美,激发了同学们对古建筑之美的赞叹,深化了他们对几何学在建筑中的重要性的认识。”

十年级 · 北京市气象监测中心
十年级的研学队伍也来到了气象监测中心,他们加深了对极端天气防范和应对气候变化的理解与认识,知道了如何正确躲避生活中的自然灾害。气象知识与多学科有关,激发了学习自然科学、探索科普活动的兴趣。
“气象局精心设计了14项活动和讲解,包括科普馆探索、气象观测仪器原理、灾害性天气成因、空气污染对健康的影响等。学生通过观察气象现象的形成和预测,对自然界的运行机制有了更深层次的理解。他们不仅了解了气象技术和应用,还意识到人类活动对天气和气候的影响。从灾害性天气形成到气象应急指挥车的运用,每个环节都激发了学生对科学的好奇心和探索欲,更引发了对环境保护和气候变化的思考。”

十一/十二年级 · 侨福当代美术馆
选择侨福当代美术馆(Parkview Green Art Gallery)进行研学,是因为他们希望探索西班牙超现实主义画家萨尔瓦多·达利的一些独特而有影响力的作品。美术馆的藏品为学生们提供了一个接触达利超现实主义杰作的绝佳机会,让他们亲身体验达利的艺术天才。美术馆为学生们提供了丰富的资源来分析达利的技法、象征主义和主题元素。此次研学旨在激发学生的批判性思维,培养对艺术的更深层次的欣赏,符合IB课程的教育目标,也是朝阳凯文学校IB英语的主要主题之一。
“The study at Parkview Green Art Gallery had a profound impact on the 11th and 12th-grade IB students. Experiencing Salvador Dali’s artworks in person transcended traditional classroom learning, immersing students in the vibrant world of surrealism. “As an 11th-grade IB student, the field trip to Parkview Green Gallery was a captivating journey into the world of Salvador Dali’s surrealism. Amidst the plethora of mesmerizing artworks, the statue “Madonna of Port Lligat,” crafted by Dali in 1974, left an indelible mark on my artistic sensibilities.
Dali’s meticulous craftsmanship conveyed a sense of divine mystery, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.
Dali’s exploration of the divine through surrealism challenged my preconceptions about religious art, prompting me to question and interpret the spiritual in a new light. This experience immersing me in the visceral impact of art on emotions and perceptions. The field trip to Parkview Green Gallery, fueled my passion for art, pushing me to explore the limitless realms of creativity and expression.”

Field Trip at CKWA ICP 丨The integration of nature and humanity, and the collision of history and modernity!
The early winter of Beijing is mysterious. There is a collision between history and modern culture, as well as a blend of nature and humanity. Almost all scholars from all walks of life learnt the essence of Chinese culture through their study trips, including the most well-known educator Confucius, the historian Sima QIAN, the geographer Daoyuan LI, the poet Bai LI to the scholar Yanwu GU from ancient China.
The CKWA ICP students from various grade groups went to different places in Beijing for field trip. Led by the teachers of the corresponding subject department, they connected the field trip with the subject knowledge learnt in the classroom and had a pleasant and meaningful learning experience.
Grade 6 · Beijing Meteorological Monitoring Center
Meteorological science popularization is an activity of learning meteorological knowledge through practical research, observation, and experimentation. This learning approach can provide a more vivid, interesting, and challenging learning experience, while also laying an important foundation for students’ scientific literacy, practical ability, and future career development.
Grade 7 · Confucius Temple and Imperial Academy Museum
To better help students understand the education mechanism of ancient China, Grade 7 students came to the Confucian Temple and the Imperial Academy Museum for study. This field trip not only provides students an opportunity to associate with their textbook knowledge, but also gives foreign teachers a further understanding of China’s long-standing culture.
Grade 8 · Prince Gong Mansion
Before the field trip, Grade 8 Chinese class happened to cover the unit of “Explanatory Writing and Travel Notes”. In the Chinese class, students learned about the methods of explanation, order of explanation, and techniques of describing scenery, which perfectly combined with this study. This allowed students to have a better understanding of Chinese culture, appreciate the beauty of ancient Chinese garden architecture, and apply the knowledge of explanatory writing while visiting Prince Gong Mansion.
Grade 9 · Beijing Museum of Ancient Architecture
Grade 9 students walked into the Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum of the Xiannong Temple. This field trip not only allowed them to appreciate the grandeur of ancient architecture, and to understand the historical and cultural traditions of the Ming and Qing dynasties when the royal family worshipped the gods of agriculture and cultivated crops in person, but also to explore the practical application of geometric knowledge.
Grade 10· Beijing Meteorological Monitoring Center
Grade 10 research team also came to the Meteorological Monitoring Center, where they deepened their understanding of extreme weather prevention and response to climate change and learned how to correctly avoid natural disasters in daily life. Meteorological knowledge is related to multiple disciplines, which stimulates interest in learning natural sciences and exploring science activities.
G11 and G12 · Parkview Green Art Gallery
The selection of Parkview Green Art Gallery for the study by 11th and 12th-grade IB students was driven by the desire to explore some of Salvador Dali’s unique and influential works (a mainstay of this gallery). The gallery’s collection provided an excellent opportunity for students to engage with Dali’s surrealist masterpieces, offering a firsthand encounter with his artistic genius. The purpose of the visit was to enhance students’ understanding of art history and the significance of Dali’s contributions to the surrealist movement. The gallery served as a rich resource for students to analyze Dali’s techniques, symbolism, and thematic elements. The visit aimed to stimulate critical thinking and foster a deeper appreciation for art, aligning with the educational objectives of the IB program and one of our key topics for IB English B.
At this point, the series report of Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy this year has come to an end. Only through on-site exploration, physical objects, and real-life experiences can knowledge be learned and applied, triggering students’ desire and interest in learning. Let’s look forward to embarking on the trips again next year and discovering the beauty around us !
